Night Housekeeper & Site Safety Assistant

We’re seeking a dependable and proactive individual to join our night team as an Night Housekeeper & Site Safety Assistant. This vital role ensures our five-star spa retreat remains clean, secure, and welcoming throughout the night, ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences each morning.

A central part of this role involves maintaining our high housekeeping standards. You’ll take ownership of overnight laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and restocking towels and robes to ensure we’re fully prepared for the next day. Alongside this, you’ll conduct regular patrols of the property, securing doors and entry points, and making sure only authorised guests remain on-site. You’ll also respond promptly to late arrivals, guest requests, and any emergencies via the on-call phone, providing reassurance and support with professionalism and care.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring fire alarms, assessing flood risks during adverse weather, gritting footpaths to ensure safety, and supporting venue staff to guide guests off-site at the end of evening events. You’ll oversee any overnight contractors and prepare a detailed handover report to ensure continuity for the day team.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a night-based role, ideally within hospitality or guest services. You should be confident working independently, capable of balancing physical housekeeping duties with responsibility for safety and guest wellbeing. A full driving licence is preferred due to our rural location.

Please note, this is not a passive security or CCTV-based role. It’s an active, hands-on position that requires initiative, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to delivering a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Hours: 26.5 hours per week
Shift Times: 23:00 – 07:00
