Abi & Jay – A Real Winter Wedding Dream

After many years together, high school sweethearts Abi and Jamie tied the knot at Moddershall Oaks in November 2022.

It’s safe to say their special day was a true fairy-tale, set in the beautiful surroundings of the Staffordshire countryside on a winter’s day…

The Morning of the Wedding

The morning of the wedding was filled with laughter and excitement, as Abi and her bridal party prepared for her wedding day in the Sanctuary. Surrounded by her nearest and dearest, the pre-wedding pampering was the perfect way to calm any morning of the wedding nerves Abi might have had.

Once everyone was ready, it was time for the father-daughter first look, which was filled with emotion when he set eyes on her for the first time. With the amazing Sally Shaw photographer there to capture the moment, Abi has many beautiful pictures to treasure of this incredibly special moment.

Whilst this was happening, just a short distance away, groom Jamie was filled with excitement and couldn’t wait to see his future wife!

The Ceremony

Abi and Jamie decided on an early November date for their special day, opting for a cosy indoor winter ceremony. Their colour scheme was elegant and beautiful, opting for cream flowers offset with deep green foliage, and light pink fabric accents.

The ceremony space featured a stunning, rustic wooden hexagon against the starlit backdrop, as well as many glowing candles, creating the most romantic atmosphere to say ‘I do’.

Reception & evening

The wedding breakfast set up was just as stunning with circular copper centrepieces hung with candles, and covered in green leaves and foliage.

After the wedding breakfast, the speeches brought laughter and tears, and filled everyone’s hearts with Abi & Jamie’s love story. As the evening drew in, the room was lit up by giant LOVE letters and the starlit backdrop seemed to sparkle even more. The newlyweds cut their magnificent naked three-tiered cake and took to centre stage for their first dance. The dancing didn’t stop as everyone partied into the night, concluded by an outdoor procession of guests with sparklers, making for some more stunning photographs.

For those feeling peckish, Abi and Jamie’s crisp wall went down a storm!

A simply stunning day filled. From the emotional ceremony to the relaxed drinks reception and the speeches that had everyone in tears of happiness. The wonderful Dave Dee got the party started as everyone danced the night away.

A day filled with love, laughter and happiness. Congratulations to a lovely couple.
