Moddershall Oaks named ‘Experience of the Year’

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve won ‘Experience of the Year’ at the 2022 Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards!

These highly regarded regional awards celebrate and highlight the best tourism and hospitality businesses across Staffordshire. Sponsored by Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, the Experience of the Year category showed tough competition, however Moddershall Oaks was crowned winner of the category.

Upon visiting Moddershall Oaks, the official award judge said “A beautiful location and luxury venue incorporating all elements of wellness and indulgence. Moddershall Oaks Spa encompasses a feeling of relaxation and wellbeing from start to finish with the variety of menu choices, treatments and classes, from the hardcore exercise fanatic to the laid-back mindful practices. Staff members enhance the experience through the discreet, but friendly interactions, and knowledge they can provide during a visit.”

Penny Weston, director of Moddershall Oaks, said “We are absolutely thrilled to have won Experience of the Year at the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism & Good Food Awards. It’s such a fantastic achievement particularly for a spa operation which, like many of the other tourism businesses, has truly felt the consequences from the pandemic. It’s a fantastic testament to the entire team at Moddershall Oaks who work tirelessly to ensure each guest has a memorable experience with us!”

Philip White, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member with responsibility for tourism at Staffordshire County Council, added: “Our annual awards are a wonderful celebration of our amazing tourism sector and an event we all look forward to. Our tourism businesses continue to deliver year on year, attracting more and more visitors to the county, generating millions of pounds for our local economy and sustaining tens of thousands of jobs. I couldn’t be more proud of the sector and I would like to say a huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists.”

We, along with all the other gold award winners, now progress to represent Staffordshire at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, to be held in June 2022.
