Moddershall Oaks announces huge investment & refurbishment in wedding & events venue
Moddershall Oaks has announced plans to invest a six-figure sum to upgrade its events space as demand for weddings, conferences, corporate functions and private parties continues to grow in a post-Covid world.
Work is due to begin in February as part of a 2-stage refurbishment, with completion scheduled for mid-April, perfectly times to provide businesses and wedding couples and open and airy space for the warmer months of 2024.
Newcastle-under-Lyme based company, the Interior Design Practice, are leading the re-design, which takes inspiration from the natural lakeside and woodland location of the Venue.

As part of the refurbishment, the Venue’s bar is being completed replaced and the whole area transformed with new soft seating, cosy lighting and planting. Luxurious neutral fabrics will create an inviting and cosy look, and the bar itself will be replaced with a contemporary and glamourous bar including bronze metallic tiles, a curved marble top and smoked mirrors.
The Venue
In addition to a brand new floor being laid throughout, the partitioning walls are being refurbished and brightened, and chandeliers replaced with new soft lights, ceiling lanterns and a waterfall planting effect.
Speaking of the re-design, the Interior Design Practice state that “the whole design, inspired by the beautiful lake and woodland location that Moddershall Oaks is known for, adds a touch of glamour in a way that’s perfectly balanced against the natural feel, soft curves, planting, luxurious fabrics and neutral tones”.
